Only four girls return from last year with seniors Krissi Tobias and Krissy Dankworth being the most experienced on the squad. Tobias is also a well rounded athlete as she is a member of the Lady Buccs' volleyball team.
Sophomores Josselyn Tobias and Laci Hagen also return from a year ago and they also play volleyball for Covington. Tobias is a track athlete in the spring as well.
Nine new comers join the team, including two seniors, Holly Tobias and Meagan Grant. Both are talented athletes as Tobias excels in volleyball and track for the Lady Buccs, while Grant also plays volleyball.
Five juniors join the squad in Alyssa Angle, Hannah Mohler, Erin Waterfall, Mackenzie Richards and Emily Hicks.
Angle, Richards and Mohler participate in volleyball, Hicks plays softball and Waterfall runs cross country. Angle, Richards and Waterfall also are on the track team.
Sophomore Raquel Brant enters her first year as a varsity cheerleader and is an outstanding runner in cross country and track.
The lone freshman on the team is Maci Boehringer, who is a track athlete and the younger sister of number 50, Josh Boehringer.
Long-time advisor Gretchen Schmidt returns once again to lead the group. Although her squad lacks experience, it has the athleticism needed for another successful season.
